Drone simulator videos for School of Drones Free and Pro members

It’s been a very strange few weeks. With a lot of our face-to-face training impacted we have decided to produce some materials that you can access to continue to develop your skills.

We decided to put together a fixed-wing simulator series for our School of Drones Free members and an FPV series for our Pro members. The piloting skills required to fly fixed-wing planes and racing drones are higher than those required to fly standard off-the-shelf drones. In beginning to fly racers I have found that I have better stick skills when I go back to my DJI drones. As a result these simulators are a great way, with relatively low expenditure, to keep your stick skills developing while we have limited opportunity to fly outside.

We use our favourite sims, Heli-X and Velocidrone to get you going but these lessons should work in any appropriate simulator.

The online multiplayer flying is also a great way to engage with other pilots. Please use the links below to go to your series of choice! Pro members, please also don’t forget to check you email preferences under your account.
